Can’t find a low FODMAP chicken marinade? Make your own!

Grilled Chicken Marinade

May 23, 2019 by Kristin Houts in Recipes, Kitchen Basics

Don’t skip of flavor when you’re looking to reduce FODMAPs! Make this marinade from your pantry staples and avoid any unnecessary digestive upset. I use this amount for two chicken breasts:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil or FODY garlic-infused oil

  • Juice from half of a lemon

  • 1 tablespoon of dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/8 teaspoon of each: dried thyme, oregano and rosemary

  • Pinch of salt and pepper

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Whisk ingredients together and pour over chicken.

  2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight if there’s time).

  3. Drain the chicken from the marinade and cook as desired.
